During a recent Titans Veterans Management Meeting Trevor Poole was explaining how many Over 60 and Over 70 Veterans still actively played Cricket in especially Australia and England. In these Age Groups many Thousands of Players still play. Tony found it strange that he only knew of Trevor who is Over 60 in Titans Country who is still active.

Tony who is also Over 60 decided to encourage other Over 60’s to join him and start Training again. To date he has identified 14 Players in Pretoria over the age of 58 who are interested in this Project. 10 Players are already 60 and a further Player will join this Group approximately every 3 months from now onwards.

It has also been established that no other Province in South Africa has an Over 60’s Team. In November 2023 the Titans will be the First Province to have a Full Team. This Team is named The Sixties and is entered into the Titans Division 1 T30 Veterans League which starts 10 September 2023.

The camaraderie between these players is unbelievable and everyone tries to motivate each other which is exceptional.
